Packers fans aren’t the only ones excited about this weekend.
CBS Sports is bringing its pregame show to Lambeau Field for the Green Bay Packers‘ season opener against the Detroit Lions at 3:25 p.m. Sept. 7 and will debut its new streaming program from the stadium as well.
“The NFL Today,” featuring host James Brown and analysts Matt Ryan, Nate Burleson and Bill Cowher, will broadcast live from Lambeau at 11 a.m. on CBS (WFRV-TV in Green Bay) and Paramount+.
Viewers are used to seeing the show from the studio on most Sundays, but CBS Sports announced this summer it would be hitting the road on select Sundays with live, on-site shows for some of its most-anticipated games. Last year, it traveled to Buffalo and Detroit.
CBS Sports will also launch its new “The NFL Today+” from Lambeau Field at 9 a.m. Sept. 7. The weekly two-hour program is billed as the “first-ever streaming-only official NFL Sunday pregame show,” according to a news release.
Host Amanda Guerra will be joined by analysts Kyle Long, Antonio Pierce and Ryan, who is pulling double duty by being on both shows. Each Sunday, they’ll preview the day’s games, break down key matchups, deliver real-time news and provide on-site reports and interviews from the stadiums.
It can be streamed on Paramount+, CBS Sports HQ and the NFL on CBS YouTube channel.
Fans going to the Packers-Lions game will find the sets for the shows near the Miller Lite Gate outside Lambeau.
